Born in Mie Prefecture in 1975. Graduated from Doshisha University (the Faculty of Science) and International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences. Founded Semitransparent Design in 2003.
With a focus on digital media, he is engaged in activities such as the planning and production of online media, graphic design, and installations at museums and galleries both within Japan and overseas.
In particular, with exhibitions such as tFont/fTime – an exploration of relations between temporality and typography, and his role in planning Illuminating Graphics – an exhibition themed around RGB and CMYK, his efforts are focussed on exploring and bridging the gap between digital media and graphic design.
