This is a poster for a documentary on the beat generation.
It features many culturally definitive words.
Our main concern prior to production was whether or not our design would incorporate the authenticity of these words.
Once I started, I had so much fun that I don’t even remember doing the work.
Thank you for such a prestigious award.

Eiji Yamada
Born in Chikuho, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1965. Graduated from the Tokyo Designer’s Academy.
Founded Ultra Graphics in 1998. Past awards include Runner-up to Grand Prix in Shomon Poster Festival; JAGDA Newcomers Prize; Silver Prize in Non-members’ Division and Bronze Prize in Members’ Division from Tokyo TDC. Member of JAGDA, Tokyo TDC and Kyushu-kai.
