I say you, but you hear me (Paul Elliman’s Workshop Announcement)

A series of three posters were designed for the announcement of the annual workshop led by Paul Elliman at Yale University School of Art in the spring of 2022.
Each poster shows an enlarged film still from documentation footage that captured numerous gestures of interacting, observing, examining, and listening to a sphere. A sphere offers seemingly infinite ways of spacial positions going beyond just up, down, left, and right as it incorporates a human gesture.
Sound expands spherically in all possible directions, and so does this sphere. In the same logic, the classroom setting becomes a sphere inside a sphere where each movement generates an unrepresentative sound based on a soundscape of pulsing, analogue and digital tones.
