Das Kapital ist weg – Wir sind das Kapital! (Poster)
The poster trio was created as part of a complete corporate identity for a group exhibition in Schaffhausen (CH).
In the former “halls of art” in Schaffhausen where the artwork “Das Kapital” by Joseph Beuys hung until its closure a few years ago, 35 young artists revived the area and organized and showed a large group exhibition entitled “Das Kapital ist weg – Wir sind das Kapital! The three objects, centrally located in the middle of the posters, are built in Adobe Illustrator (not in Cinema 4D as might be assumed). The selected objects are all objects that can remove or destroy something. The eraser can remove writing, the lighter can burn something and the shaver removes unpopular things from the face and co. They stand as a metaphor for the disappearance of “capital” and art itself in Schaffhausen and the exhibition locations. These very technical objects or pictures are framed and held by a handwriting (my handwriting) that transports something personal.
