Lucien Dubuis Trio (Poster)

The Lucien Dubuis Trio is practicing a fresh and very spontaneous music. As a common classification we can call it just “Free Jazz”. In the designing process I was looking for an idea that expresses the spontaneity of that music. I remembered the good old black board from my early school days, when I was writing and drawing with white chalk on it. The results on black boards stay just for a few moments, then it will be effaced and a new drawing or text can be set – just like the musicians play their improvisations by spontaneity just for the moment. I had to draw very fast and just by feeling. No question that I was listening to the music of the Trio during the process!
