Moog Acid (Record sleeve)
For the “Moog Acid”packaging we decided to try and create a contemporary custom typeface” that would celebrate the ‘Space Age’ period of the late-60s and early-70s when the Moog synthesizers first came to “prominence; A typeface that would be” reminiscent “of typefaces from the period but one that would morph and fluctuate between extremes. The ultra thin lines swelling into curvaceously” fluid bold shapes and a distinctive teardrop motif.”
To underline the period feel we employed a ‘default style’ typography for the body text and used photographs of “especially commissioned “miniature models of the type of classic Moog” synthesizers that were used to create “Perrey & Vibert’s unique sound recordings.” The whole composition then”came together in the form of that most classic of music packaging formats: the gatefold sleeve.
