Hattori Kazunari Exhibition “Visual Communication” (Poster)

I held an exhibition at ‘Gallery 5610’ in October 2007, for which I produced 17 posters. I didn’t have any particular interest in the motifs, which included cake and other things. Rather, I chose meaningless motifs. My motivation for producing the works was not ‘what’ to express, but ‘how’ to express it. Perhaps being uninterested in the subject and thinking only of the method may be wickedly lacking in some

thing. However, when you pursue your method of expression as far as you can, you necessarily reach a point where the method of expression itself becomes the subject of the work. Perhaps I am beginning to approach that point?
