The Blooming of Peony（Book design）
Books are but one type of tool for laying down narratives. They exist as comprehensive compositions or structures of fixed matter. Not only are they paddle boards for the text, they are real in and of themselves, and possess their own predicates and grammar. There is significance in the fact that they are physical matter. This book, “The Blooming of Peony” was based on a somewhat different grammar and is an experiment into the structure of books and the possibilities of the act of reading.
