I notice that Tsuguya Inoue has also been given this award. My work pales in comparison to the impact of his work. I hope people won’t just walk past mine. I don’t think he will even submit a bio or a letter of thanks in response to winning this award. In any event, while there’s no surprise in Mr. Inoue winning the award, the fact that I have makes me worry about the future of TDC, seriously.

– The wrapping paper and the paper bags are used primarily at the Plaza Shop on the first floor of the Shiseido Building in Ginza, Tokyo. They are used to wrap food products as well as cosmetics and are used only at this building.

While they could have been based on an abstract or floral theme, I decided to use a stylized version of the building rendered in light, airy tones; the building somewhat lacks in familiarity but is distinct looking nonetheless.
