I started by forming letters based on the image of a beauty parlor in Ebisu, the sense of airiness I got from the photo and a fanciful image of someplace in Europe where people are playing with a red ball. While I was designing this, I kept repeating in my mind the word “comfortable” — which is the motto of this establishment. I’m very happy to be granted such a prestigious award for my work. I’m deeply grateful to all the people who assist me on a daily basis. Thank you.
